Sra. Young's Spanish One Students
As we approach the end of semester 1, my Spanish One students have been busy covering the following materials:
Introducing themselves and introducing others
learning Cognates
telling time
Classroom phrases
weather related expressions
telling where they are from
telling their ages
Numbers
telling their phone numbers
asking others how they are doing
definite / indefinite articles
school items
subjects
using adjectives
describing themselves
Food and beverages
subjects and subject pronouns
Noun - adjective agreement
Conjugating of -ar ending verbs
What are infinitives/
What is a regular/ irregular verb?
the verb SER, tener, estar and many more regular verbs
Culture: Mexico, Costa Rica, and all Latin american Countries.
We are now approaching the end of the last lesson before we are to take the mid-term. Because they are still trying to speak the language, we decided to do a presentation instead of a written test. These presentations must include the following:
Introducing themselves
Introducing others
Describing themselves or describing others
Research on a Latin-american country and making a 3 minute in Spanish about
that country's facts and way of life
January 7th, we will be back and ready to work on Unit 3, Lessons 1 and 2 with a concentration on more spoken activities. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
