3-A students are working with the two  Spanish past tenses: the  preterite and the imperfect.
This is a very challenging concept because they now have to be aware of the situation in order to decide which one to use. they will be writing (for a test) grade about their childhood and a trip they took last year. This concept is one of the few that is best to write in English firs then translate to Spanish. This way they see all the specific uses that apply to each past tense.
